Who we are

Healthy Air for London is a 2026 campaign from The London Healthy Air Coalition. We’re a regional group of the national Healthy Air Coalition – a collective of leading health, environment and transport organisations with the shared vision of a UK free from toxic air. We’re calling on local election candidates across the city to sign up to our Clean Air Commitment and show their support for tackling the major sources of air pollution and climate emissions, making London a clean air global city and boosting our quality of life.

We believe that everyone in London has the right to breathe safe, clean air, no matter who they are or where they live. Improving our air is a matter of social justice, because air pollution disproportionately affects people with existing health conditions, poorer and racially minoritised communities, and the oldest and youngest in society. The people most impacted by the issues must be properly involved in designing local solutions.

Over the last two years we’ve grown to encompass more than twenty organisations, from multinational foundations to community groups, working on issues including health inequalities, climate change, social justice, transport and more.
